BETH CLAWSON
After earning a Bachelor of Graphic Design from NC State University, Beth came on board in 1998. Now a senior designer, she is always eager to solve problems and share her ideas. Beth enjoys the entire KINETIK design process and blends her love of typography and images with client messages to develop powerful print work. Conceptual and crafty, when not creating brochures and logos, Beth may turn discarded wire into a piece of modern jewelry.
SCOTT RIER
Scott began working at KINETIK as a college intern in 1994. After receiving his BFA in Graphic Design from the Corcoran College of Art and Design the next year, he joined our team full time. A dozen years later, Scott is the most senior designer on staff. His thoughtful, contemplative nature has helped him become a key member of KINETIK's creative bunch. A practiced sketching ability enables Scott to visualize solutions timely and effectively. His work is packed with meaning and elegance.
JENNY SKILLMAN
Jenny has been our studio director since 2001. Both her degree in journalism and extensive experience in creative departments of several nonprofit associations are a strong foundation for her diverse role at KINETIK. On any given day Jenny may serve as a liaison between clients and designers, develop and evaluate project schedules and goals or implement a tried and true KINETIK quality control standard. Budget-conscious clients as well as thankful coworkers revere Jenny's diligence.
JEFF FABIAN
Jeff is a 1985 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. Armed with a BFA in Communication Arts and Design, he and two classmates founded KINETIK in 1988. A contemplative communicator, Jeff wears many hats. Whether working with the design team to evaluate, critique and develop winning results or wowing potential clients with his vision and insight, Jeff excels in his position. The body of work he oversees wins accolades from many national arts and design organizations. Clients are equally as impressed with the one-of-a-kind solutions that are developed under Jeff's guiding example.
SAM SHELTON
Sam earned a BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1985. After three years' experience in the graphic design field, together with two classmates, Sam founded KINETIK. Since 1988 Sam has led KINETIK through day-to-day creative challenges faced in a typical design studio. His strong belief in the power of design helps guide KINETIK's growth in an everchanging world. His passion shows in the projects he directs as well as the time he volunteers for the local and national branches of AIGAthe professional association for design.
JACKIE RATSCH
Jackie has been integral to the KINETIK work flow since the turn of the millennium. Carefully reviewing the financial and accounting books, she is the one who watches our bottom line. An Excel maven, Jackie makes number crunching a pleasant task. As if all this isn't enough, she also answers the phones, manages the supplies and facilities, and somehow always has a smile on her face. Simply put, she is an indispensable part of the KINETIK team.
BEVERLEY HUNTER
With her degree in graphic design, Beverley brings an uncommon outlook to her role as KINETIK's production manager. Since 1994 she has worked with our design team on paper specification, printing and fabrication. She is our primary contact with suppliers: the traditional print shop, the specialty box manufacturer, the industry's leading CD-ROM producer. Beverley's attention to detail and her superb negotiating skills ensure that each projecta 1-inch square key chain, a 64-page 6-color publication or a 7-foot tall bannermeets KINETIK's standards of quality.
